Perhaps our greatest second chances don’t always come after dramatic failures. Sometimes they come in the quiet moments when we stop long enough to realize we’ve been running on empty—and choose, with compassion, to begin again.

Recently, we closed on our third house in six months.  Our family home, where we raised our son after his young days.

As exciting as that sounds, here’s the truth…

I’m exhausted.

Not just physically, but emotionally and mentally.

Between moving, preparing another home for sale, traveling through Europe, serving clients, writing, speaking, and trying to keep life moving, I realized something important:

Even good change is still change.

As someone who often describes herself as a “Sponge,” I absorb experiences deeply. Beauty. Grief. Joy. Stress. New beginnings. Endings.

Eventually, even a sponge becomes saturated.

This week reminded me that exhaustion isn’t always a sign of weakness. Sometimes it’s simply evidence that we’ve been carrying more than our nervous systems were designed to hold without rest.

So today, instead of asking, “What’s next?” I’m asking:

“What would help me feel grounded again?”

Maybe that’s the question many of us need to ask ourselves.

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed lately, know this: you’re not alone.

Sometimes the bravest thing we can do isn’t push harder.

It gives us permission to pause.

I’d love to know…what helps you come back to yourself when life has been full?
