Hello Friends,
Lately, I’ve found myself paying attention to something I don’t think I would have noticed in a while.
Joy.
Not the loud, celebratory kind of joy, but the quiet moments that gently remind us we’re exactly where we need to be.
Over the past several weeks, life has been wonderfully full. Between moving, writing, traveling through Europe, preparing for new projects, and juggling all the beautiful chaos that comes with running a business, I’ve caught myself wondering more than once, Why am I so tired?
Yet in the middle of all of it, something unexpected has happened.
Joy keeps finding me.
It arrived through two books that somehow landed on my nightstand at exactly the right time—This Life Is Joy by Dr. Roger Teel and Joy, Anyway by Jan Hoath. It showed up in the tiny baby bunny that crossed my path and reminded me that new beginnings often arrive quietly.
And lately, it’s been the hummingbirds.
Recently, I was in the mountains, and they seemed to appear just everywhere, darting from flower to flower with incredible energy and purpose. They weigh almost nothing, yet somehow they carry such a powerful reminder: life isn’t measured by how fast we move, but by how fully we experience each moment.
Perhaps that’s what joy really is.
Not something we chase.
Something we notice.
As we move through this busy season together, my hope for each of us is that we slow down long enough to recognize the small moments that have been there all along. Yes, I am writing this to myself as well.
