“If the only prayer you said was thank you, that would be enough.”
― Meister Eckhart
In this season of Thanksgiving, I want to share my gratitude with you. We have so much to be grateful for even now, today. I love Meister Eckhart’s quote about prayer and know that power, that gratitude, play in my life and in our world.
Sometimes it seems so easy to focus on what is wrong, what is dividing us or who did what. We find it challenging to just be with what is. In making something wrong, or seeing what is wrong, we so often miss the opportunity to recognize the gift.
In my life I have struggled not to be a victim or find fault with things or people who were not aligned with how I thought they should be. I have learned that by placing a “should” on anything, we are limiting our capacity to be in the flow of what is.
The surrender to the acceptance of what is allows us to drop our judgment. A wise person once said, “Everything is neutral until you judge it.” Embracing the curiosity of asking what else is possible allows us to broaden our perspective to a great realm of possibilities. We are no longer in the tunnel vision of our limited thinking. When we open our paradigm and our hearts and drop into gratitude, we have the opportunity to fully embrace each moment, person and situation in our lives.
That is not always easy, this I know for sure. Yet in this season of Thanksgiving, let us give thanks for the many blessings of our lives and surround ourselves with love, gratitude and appreciation for what is.
My deep gratitude to each of you who share my journey in these blogs and in my work.
Here are a few things coming in the next few months.
