Let’s talk therapy. I know someone who’s been seeing the same therapist for over 10 years. Why? I can’t help but wonder, “Are they just paying for a friend?”
I’ve done therapy most of my adult life. I’ve worked with different therapists and explored other methods. I even have two degrees in social work and the credentials to be a therapist. But I’m not. Because I don’t want to be.
I coach. I use somatic therapy, energy work, and spirituality—all in one session. I don’t just analyze the problem because problems don’t start in the intellect. They begin in our experiences, and unresolved experiences live in the body. That’s why true healing isn’t just psychological; it’s energetic and spiritual, too.
As Einstein said, “You cannot solve a problem with the same mind that created it.”
Beyond one-on-one work, I guide group courses and lead immersive retreats—because healing isn’t just about understanding. It’s about fully integrating mind, body, and soul.
Client Stories
Through my coaching practice, I work with people who are carrying unresolved trauma, grief, anxiety, and fear, whether from past wounds or uncertainty about the future. I provide pathways to second chances. And I’ve seen transformation happen fast. One client said, “After just one session with Christy, I was able to release a long-held pattern and witnessed that it was gone the very next day when I ran into the same situation and had no charge or reaction to it.”
Another client was raped in college and had never allowed herself to open up to a partnership. By our third coaching session, something shifted. She allowed me to work with her, and in minutes, she emerged anew. I helped her find a place of neutrality, giving her the ability to walk away more free and lighter. She even had the desire to date again.
Even in the workplace, my approach has created positive change:
“Christy’s facilitation left a lasting impact on me. I’m now more intentional, mindful, and communicative in my partnerships.”
The Bottom Line
Traditional therapy should not have to go on for years and years unless it is a chronic mental health or psychotic issue. Conventional therapy can be brief and very effective. It’s not about having a paid listener – it should be focused on resolving, learning, and stepping into your own power. There should be an end date, a moment when you break free using an arsenal of newly found tools.
Therapy can be powerful, but it’s not a cure-all. If it’s not working, don’t settle. Try a new therapist or approach, or mix in coaching, somatic work, or spiritual practices. Healing isn’t just in the mind—it’s in the body, heart, and soul.
I’d love to support you on your healing journey. Please go to my website to not sign up for therapy but for a second chance to energetically and spiritually transform. I have client after client who will say that my work made a difference in as little as three sessions, not 10 years. This is why I’m not a therapist.
